Welcome to the Human Rights area
The area of Human Rights Law is a little different to everything else because although there is a Human Rights Act 1998, many of the rights that this contains are actually catered for elsewhere. For example, one of the rights is not to be discriminated against but the law relating to this area is already contained in legislation such as the Sex Discrimination Act 1975.
The 1998 Human Rights Act brings the European Convention on Human Rights into UK law. The fact that it is European law has more relevance for anyone working in the state sector. This includes anyone working in central or local government, police, fire and hospital services prison services, nationalised industries or potentially even for a company providing outsourced services on behalf of one of these organisations. If you think that you could work in the state sector, please complete this questionnaire.
Alternatively, if you feel that your Human Rights have been violated, complete our questionnaire in the area of law that surrounds that right:
Right to Privacy
Right to Know
Rights of Suspects
Rights of Defendants
Rights of Prisoners
Right to Equality
Rights of Immigrants
Rights of Workers
Rights of Mental Health Patients
Rights of Children
The process will take only a few minutes and once finished, lawyers will contact you to discuss the case and their services.
